Kitesurfing wetsuits
In UK and northern European water, your wetsuit decides how long you can stay out. Kitesurfing adds wind chill that surfers don't face, so many riders go a step thicker than surfers do for the same water temperature.
Thickness is written torso/limbs, so a 5/4 has 5 mm neoprene on the body and 4 mm on the arms and legs. Seams, zip design and fit matter as much as thickness: a loose 5/4 flushes and ends up colder than a snug 4/3.
