Kitesurfing kites
The kite is the engine, and it's the most expensive thing you'll buy. Getting the size and style right for your weight, your local wind and your level matters more than any brand or model-year difference.
Start with what you'll mostly ride — freeride, big air, waves, light wind or foil — then size for your usual wind, not the best day of the year. Most riders end up with two kites that cover a combined range of roughly 12–30 knots. The kite size calculator works out both sizes from your weight and wind.
