Why this site exists
Kitesurfing gear is expensive and the jargon is dense. Most buying advice online is either shop copy or a list of this year's models, with little about why any of them would suit you.
Kitesurf Compass explains what actually matters when you choose gear (your weight, your local wind and water, your level), then points you to gear that fits. It's written with UK and northern European riders in mind: cold water, changeable wind, and shops that ship here.
How we choose what to recommend
When we recommend specific gear, the specs come from the manufacturer's published data, and every page lists its sources. We don't invent test results, star ratings or experiences. Anything written in the first person comes from the rider's own notes, and it's labelled that way.

How the site makes money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the shop pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. That's what funds the site. There's no advertising and no sponsored content.
Commission never decides whether something gets recommended. When several shops stock the same item, the shop listed first may be the one that pays a commission. The affiliate disclosure explains exactly how.
